I’m new, what should I start with?
OK ask yourself this question:
I’d like you to enjoy the fact that you can walk back to the car or your house with your model in your hand rather than scattered all over the park or field! You’ll have much more fun progressing through the hobby rather than going out with a bang on your first attempt and not going back to it.
- What do I really want to fly????
- What’s going to look cool and impress your mates?
- I know what your thinking, a Spitfire, Mustang or an A-10 perhaps???
- Do they let new pilots join the RAF and fly a Eurofighter on the same day????
- No, you have to learn how to fly and understand the basics of flight with a trainer, a high wing, slow flying (it will still seem quick to you, I promise) stable aircraft.
- Start with the Cessna, its all of the above but will still be able to give you plenty of smiles as you start to be more adventurous with your manoeuvres.
